DMCA Policy
SentinelForte (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This DMCA Policy outlines our procedures for addressing alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and other applicable laws.
While SentinelForte primarily provides curated information, reviews, and links to officially hosted third-party software, we are committed to promptly responding to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA and other applicable laws.
1. Notification of Alleged Copyright Infringement
If you believe that any content available on or through the SentinelForte website infringes upon your copyright, or the copyright of someone you are authorized to act on behalf of, you must send a written notification of the alleged infringement to our Designated Copyright Agent.
To be effective, your notification (“DMCA Notice”) must include substantially the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., the specific URL(s) where the infringing material is located on SentinelForte.com).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Please send your DMCA Notice to our Designated Copyright Agent at:
Email: [email protected]
Note: Only DMCA notices should be sent to this email address. Other inquiries (e.g., technical support or general questions) will not receive a response from this address. Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.
2. Our Response to a DMCA Notice
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA Notice, SentinelForte will take appropriate actions, which may include:
- Promptly removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material.
- Notifying the user who provided the allegedly infringing material of the removal or disabling of access.
- Terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers of copyrights or other intellectual property rights.
3. Counter-Notification Procedures
If you believe that your material has been removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you have the right to send a counter-notification (“DMCA Counter-Notice”) to our Designated Copyright Agent.
To be effective, your DMCA Counter-Notice must include substantially the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the address is located, or if your address is outside of the U.S., for any judicial district in which SentinelForte may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the DMCA Notice or an agent of such person.
Please send your DMCA Counter-Notice to our Designated Copyright Agent at:
Email: [email protected]
Note: Upon receipt of a valid Counter-Notice, SentinelForte may send a copy to the original complaining party. Unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the content provider, member, or user, the removed material may be replaced, or access to it restored, in 10 to 14 business days or more after receipt of the Counter-Notice, at SentinelForte’s sole discretion.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
SentinelForte maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
